When I get a functional 1.01a CHDK, I will spend some time on a backport for 1.00C. Not garentees I will get it complete though.

By looks of it I am the only one with 1.01c so testing/developing im my spare time is taking time. And haven't had one reply yet about the latest build I posted.

Vitold, someone "will". Not everyone has every camera so porting happens when a developer has time. taliesin is doing great work for the 1.01a, so we'll have to wait till that's done until we can ask for his/her time for our cameras.

Just wait patiently. If it doesn't happen, gives you more incentive to brush up on yer programming skills right?

taliesin/funnel, so I just got back from vacation... I may be able to make a 1.00c build (if i can get my freggin build environment right.) Otherwise, my old camera is leaving me this week so let's see what I get back

Hi,
I'm new here, and I want to know which differences between 1.00C and 1.01A are.
I've the 1.00C firmware, and there are no original firmware updates from canon...
I haven't found chdk for 1.00C.
When i take the 1.01A, my screen is black after CHDK firm-update, and nothing works.
What should i do that chdk works on the sx230hs (fw 1.00C)?

The only thing you can do is wait for someone ( myself if you wait long enough ) develops CHDK for the older firmware. Firmware versions are not compatable with each other.

but why I have the fw 1.00c?
Is the firmware version depending on the date of manufacture, so i have one of the first cams with the older fw version?

Can someone confirm it runs as described above for you? and if someone has autoboot working can you try and let me know what happens. I can ony run using firmware upgrade, and cant get into camera mode.

I checked this one, after i run firmware update it restart and crashes on Playback screen, i cant use any button, it just hang, cant make it work without removing battery.

I have 1.01A firmware.
