I checked the code for the stable branch and it uses Disp+Set.  When it says Disp+Set ,  you realize that means pushing both buttons at the same time right ?   Not one and then the other ?

Ok ! I tried at the same time, one after the other and the other after the one, then I saw a little <Alt> at the bottom :) and push the Menu button. Eureka !
I make it bootable and things seam working normally.

Where could I find list of supported features ? DNG supported ?

Pretty much every CHDK port supports all the same features.  If something does not work, the only place you will find that out is the porting thread in this forum  (and occasionally the CHDK wiki page for the camera). 

A little trick to look quickly through a huge porting thread is to select the "Print" button at the top of the page, which will give you the whole thread compressed onto one page that you can quickly scroll through.

Just got my new sx230hs in and as I feared I got a 101e firmware. Successfully dumped the firmware and got it linked below. Genie already offered to help, and I will do anything I can on my side to get another port running.

Thanks waterwingz, it will be also usefull within other forums :)

Raw is disabling at each power up but I will find a way to fix it. DNG is supported byt not generated. May be "create badpixel.bin" was not successfully "reach". Still exploring that pearl machine :)

For the moment, I will get a try to the CHDK-shell compile version and come back with feedbacks.

Update:
just for fun I decided to install the 101b chdk and see what would happen. As far as I can tell it works. there are some screen flickering which I don't know is normal.

For example, I had the camera in AF mode and went into the alt menu. wherever the camera was trying to AF, the menu would disappear. But I was able to run the included hdr script successfully and everything seems to work. including raw and dng format. Put the card in my computer and lightroom pulls up the files including the .dng.

I guess now I test it to see where I can gt it to fail?

Yes. In general, if it boots it's probably OK, but it's possible that some rarely used function moved.

I downloaded the primary.bin, added the 1.01e to my build and made that version.  The stubs_entry.S files for the 1.01b and 1.01e are essentially identical ( for some reason the location of the LEFT key in the key map shifts in the file but the values are the same).

So I would say its safe to add the 1.01e as a clone of the 1.01b in the autobuild.
