That is the porting thread. At present, it appears no actual development has been done yet. If the port is completed, then you will be able to shoot raw. You can follow that thread to find out when there is something usable.

it works there is an Alpha release i tried it. And yes you can make RAW photos.

I just got a Canon SX230 HS and it has the firmware version:

GM1.01c (1.0.1.0)
Adj Ver 010.010
P-ID: 3220 NDT

We want to send this camera into the stratosphere via a Helium balloon so I think I need to hack it. I need to be able to set the camera up so it will take a picture every minute and not go to sleep.

I downloaded the CHDK file but I can't get the camera to install the firmware update. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Can anybody help??????? I'm about willing to do whatever I need to get this done.
