Hi there!
I'm Luca from northern Italy and I came in the forum looking for hacks for my S8500.
thanks to the posts in this thread I was able to get into the hidden menu and set zoom to 50x.
I also tried to get raw files but the option "Take12BitCCDRawImage" has no On/off switch in my menu, so I also tried to enable "SaveFullYRGB". The result is that, with the first on, I got a DSCXXX.RAW file only (without JPEG) that I can't open in any way. With the second, I got some YRGBXXX.RAW (this time with JPEG too) that I can't open either. I tried with several sw for Mac, including Raw Converter from Fuji, with no luck.

Anyway, another question: did someone get the goal in changing exposure time? I also took a look to Crutiatix post, with "functions.txt", but I couldn't understand how to use it.

Thanks to all in advance

This is the OMFG I got it to work :)

Code: [Select]
10 FOREIGN TakeVideo(512)

The limit to record up to 9:42 in 720p still applies to my camera. If I use TakeVideo(1000) it will switch the recording to 640p. I have attempted the following; it looks like it executes the commands directly, where the last command seems to actually finish completely. But the first commands result in small files. I have also noticed that it switches back to 640p for some reason, while it doesn't do so with a single TakeVideo(512).

Code: [Select]
10 FOREIGN TakeVideo(100)
20 FOREIGN TakeVideo(100)
30 FOREIGN TakeVideo(100)
40 FOREIGN TakeVideo(100)

So it is quite easy to over come this issue:
Code: [Select]
10 FOREIGN TakeVideo(10)
15 SYSTEM delay_us(10000000)
20 FOREIGN TakeVideo(10)
25 SYSTEM delay_us(10000000)
30 FOREIGN TakeVideo(10)
35 SYSTEM delay_us(10000000)
40 FOREIGN TakeVideo(10)

Hence: record 10s of video, delay the script for 10s, etc.
I suggest to delay the system for one second more, so the write out will complete.

Hi there!
Just a peek to see if there is something new about exposure time.
Did someone make a test to see how to make it working?
Thanks a lot!

Hi, I registered on this website to ask if anyone has made any more progress on allowing for manual focusing?
I have found that nearly 100% of my problems with my finepix s1800 are due to improper focusing, or refocusing when it already is focused.
It doesn't even seem like that complicated an issue for the manufacturers of the camera: just make the up and down buttons the main controls focus in or out.
I wonder why manufacturers insist on limiting their own products.

Hi, I have a XP60, is there something I can do? I would like to have the option to record 1080p 30fps, by default it only comes with 1080i 60fps, and manual exposure, and obviously RAW.

With the scripting can you make definitive changes?

I am looking to see if anyone could hack the x100s/t firmware or enable the exposure comp dial to become an ISO dial...

Is there anyone out there with the know how to give this a go?

Hi folks,

Wondering if the S8200 could be hacked to enable Video Output? Would love to connect a live feed to a monitor via HDMI. Great camera shame it does not have this feature as standard.  ???

This may interest you all.  :)

After searching the internet I came across this zip file containing software, firmware and the service manuals for the S8200 - 500. Seems to include the software to adjust the settings, etc...

Here's the link: http://www.ulozto.net/xZMxA3V5/fujifilm-finepix-s8200-500-zip
