It would be interesting to know details about CHDK's development over time and who did what. Vitaly, GrAnd, microfunguy, Fingalo, mx3, evawr, Woodsman and everybody who has had a contribution sorry for those I left out

Who and when
realised that this was possible
started reverse engineering
added various functions
etc

I know some details but I leave it to someone who knows better, I don't wanna leave stuff out.

In general the information of the contributers are in the Wiki-thanks page.
It is difficult to separate a contribution of all CHDK developers. Some features are initially discovered by one person, implemented by a second, extended by a third, etc. And, of course, there are a lot of testers, who helps to improve the CHDK.

I wanted to know the same thing as the OP.

I looked at the wiki link provided, but I still had a lot of questions.  It seems to me that someone has done a lot of detective work.
