So I have Canon Powershot A3300IS camera and want to have as much manual control over it as possible.

I have got a hold on the firmware dump of A3100IS but have no idea if it is worth tying.

Has any one blinked its firmware? I can start with testing and other development but getting the firmware is the main thing.

It seems that I am too lazy to do it myself. :)

You probably need to take a look at this : CHDK FAQ on new camera porting process.


And the firmware dump from the A3100 is of no use to you.

I have a dump of A3300IS firmware (ver 1.00A) but have no idea where to send it.  I'm afraid I'm a bit out of my depth when it comes to the coding, but I would also like to help get CHDK ported to this model.

Great. That is a good news. I am also a newbie but I can do the coding. Unfortunately, I busy with many things. Can you please upload it to a shared source so that I can have a look and follow other instructions on this site? Thanks and good work. :)
