i "installed" chdk on the sd-card for my canon powershot sx200is.

and i was told that with the chdk i could choose how long the exposure would be open up to 30 minutes (instead of the original 15 seconds)

but i still only can choose the original exposure (max 15 seconds).

so, now im turning to you for help.

how do i do to get a longer exposure with chdk with my sx200is?

thanks in advance

CHDK doesn't extend Canon's user interface, it would be a lot of trouble to hack into and support on all models. Instead, stuff like this is accessed from CHDK menus (or scripts).

If extra long exposures are enabled for your camera in CHDK, then they can be accessed by using shutter speed (Tv) override from the extra photo operations menu. See user's manual for details.

ye, i found it later on. just forgot to go here and tell you guys i found it myself.

but thanks for taking the time to explain it for me.

took me a while to get it in <alt> mode since the manual/faq said i should press the shortcut-button for my camera when in fact it was the print-button

(i dont even have a shortcut-button on my camera)

but when i found the chdk-menu it was a walk in the park.

On most(?) cameras, the print button is the shortcut button. Since most users never use direct print, it makes sense to let users reconfigure...
