What are these dots on my RAW pictures?

I am shooting with a Canon PowerShot SX10IS.
I don't use RAW very often, but I'm pretty sure those dots weren't there when I took some RAW pictures last year. Could it be from heat?

Thanks for any advice!

If they are just your normal everyday bad pixels, you may now have more than a year ago or you used a different exposure time that shows more of them...?

These dots are artifacts that are frequently caused when light is shining across the lens.  You may see a streak during the shooting of the photo. Try using a lens hood, if possible.
