Thanks whim and waterwingz. It seems that currently only the SX220hs, SX230HS and IXUS310HS (ELPH500HS) currently have working CHDK/DE builds and are R47 - these were Feb 7th and August 23rd 2011 cameras. I see from the A2200 porting thread (reply 16) that this is DryOS R47 too. It was released on January 5th, so is it reasonable to assume that all 2011 cameras will have the capability too?

So far all 2011 cameras have the updated boot code in the firmware.
The IXUS220 (Elph300HS) is also R47.
Also applies to R49 (SX40HS and SX150IS so far).

firmware is still in beta phase ??? but its cool  :lol :lol :lol

I've updated my OSX MacBoot app so that you can use it to make FAT32 cards bootable for CHDK (which will of course only work for DryOS R47 or later cameras).

I would like to verify that this works.  The only issue I had was extracting the .BIN file, I kept getting errors so I just copied everything from my 4GB card over to my 8GB card.

Now that I know how to do this I'll be investing in a 32 or 64.
