I've been searching the boards but can't find what I'm looking for (or much else) for my canon D10 powershot waterproof/shockproof camera (often confused w/ 10D slr). It's a great little camera even if some people think it's just about the ugliest camera ever made, it's pretty tough and gets the job done. Anywho, I'm trying to use it for Kite Aerial Photography and I installed CHDK thinking it would enable intervalometer but it doesn't (or I'm not finding it). By looking at info for other cameras it looks like there may be an option to set up something similar with the USB or LED (maybe even remote firing which would be even better) but not finding any specifics for how to do this with my camera. I'm familiar with photography, but totally new (and not very good so far) with the tech side of things. Any explanations or points in the right direction would be very much appreciated. Thanks for everyone's time, you guys do some amazing stuff.

You need to download and install a script file to get intervalmeter functionality. Search the forum or wiki. Here's a head start :

For Kite Aerial Photography you have two basic choices:

1. run an intervalometer script to take pictures every n seconds (as waterwingz suggests) - with pan and tilt fixed when you attach the rig to the kite line
2. fire the shutter by sending a power pulse to the USB port - you can do this either by radio-control which will also let you pan and tilt the camera using r/c servos, or by using an airborne controller (such as a GentLED, CamRemote or Aurico) which can also automatically control pan and tilt servos.

Thanks Waterwingz, I ran the ultra intervalometer script and it worked even though my camera wasn't on the list. VERY COOL. I'll post if I have any problems with it on the the script page, but if not we'll have to add D10 to the list. It'll be great to have the camera shooting on timer without losing the waterproof capability which would have been the case with the USB trigger option. Zeno I will definitely check out KAP forum.
