@waterwingz:I tested the alpha9 and most of the problems seem to be gone. Thank you!
Remarks:
- the first try to make the badpixel.bin gave me an error message: "badpixel.bin failed. Please try again." The next try was a success: process ended normal, message "badpixel.bin created. bad pixel count: 13682", and file was in CHDK folder. (error message not reproduced)
- DNG- and CRW-files are all created (o.k. - the described problem with the "overexposed" 2nd images and they are only a copy of the previous image). This was already a problem in the alpha-omega build. For observations see: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 (I'm not sure, if it is exactly the same.)
- The problem with the mechanic zoom (connected to the digital zoom) was also already in the alpha-omega-build. Description
- Scripts make all pictures without stopping half way through. Great!!
- Seemingly, the problem with the file browser (deleting folders with files in them) is gone.
All together: you reached the alpha-omega-build!You wrote: "alpha9 is a complete rewrite." - I thought, that it is some weeks of work? Some thousand lines of code? anyway - thank you!
Something - I found a bit disturbing (really little problem): after switching the camera on, I needed
a second button press to switch to record mode. Now I found out, that it is enough to hold the power button pressed for ~ a second, and the camera switches on directly to record mode. - Fine!
Another thing, which is disturbing:
2 switches to change to <alt> mode. Is it possible to use the movie button (as example)? So when I press the movie button only short, it starts recording a movie, when I press it for e.g. half a second, the alt mode comes up. Or: menu button short = <alt> mode, menu button long = system menu.
Enough for now! Ruedi
