Obviously JustJ ignored the License and only posted binaries.
This is all too common during the early stages of development before things start to stabilize a bit.  And its why there was a recent push to add "Alpha" status to the SVN / Autobuild so that early ports have somewhere to go without the expectation that they actually work very much at all.

If he's missed in action development needs to be started from scratch?
Correct.

Aren't you guys being a bit harsh on JustJ there ? He said

... But unfortunately for a few weaks I'll have no time to develop this port because of my university exams... If someone want to help me in making code "clean up" - you're welcome, I'll share sources with you.

Note that "COPYING" says:
Quote
--- snip ---
  3. You may copy and distribute the Program (or a work based on it,
under Section 2) in object code or executable form under the terms of
Sections 1 and 2 above provided that you also do one of the following:

    a) Accompany it with the complete corresponding machine-readable
source code, which must be distributed under the terms of Sections
1 and 2 above on a medium customarily used for software interchange; or,

    b) Accompany it with a written offer, valid for at least three
years, to give any third party, for a charge no more than your
cost of physically performing source distribution, a complete
machine-readable copy of the corresponding source code, to be
distributed under the terms of Sections 1 and 2 above on a medium
customarily used for software interchange; or,
--- snip ---

So, if nobody took him up on his offer before he (presumably) moved house to do his exams,
is he really to blame for that ?

Just my 2 cents,

wim

PS According to his profile, he last logged in yesterday, so he's certainly not 'missing in action'

Dear Friends :

please tell me , Does this camera model is suitable for stereo photography ?

IIRC David (maintainer of Stereo Data Maker) said some time ago, that he would only start work on
new cameras after they were fully ported to CHDK.
So, if you are asking about software support for stereo photography, answer is "Not yet"

I did not intend to disrespect JustJ's efforts in any way.   I was only trying to point out that we are now encouraging developers to get their early work into the SVN.   Sorry if it did not come across that way.

Hi, waterwingz
Wasn't assuming any disrespect by anyone, but rather a misunderstanding ...
So, let me rephrase: Did anyone actually send him a PM to ask for the source ?

and BTW - of course I fully agree with

It's nice to see something in progress for this camera, I just got one today :) My old camera doesn't have even an alpha, so I took a step in the right direction ;)

Just.J, I hope your exams have gone well.

I was trying to do some AEB shots, but like another poster in the thread, all my images came out with the same exposure, and the script only took a single image. I hope someone is able to get to the bottom if it!

If there's anything (short of scripting since I know nothing abut that) I can do to help please let me know.

You might also find it helpful to read through this thread (the one you just posted in) for tips and advice.  You most certainly want to read the first post at least.   It says :

To enter ALT mode when CHDK is loaded on your camera, press ZOOM IN + FUNC./SET
Then press MENU to bring up the controls

Note : that means you should press ZOOM IN + FUNC./SET at the same time - not one after the other.

If that doesn't work,  you need to post more details about what you have done and what you see.  Do you see the round red CHDK logo when the camera starts for example ?
