1.01b - alpha6:loads and works.
Problems/features/observations:
- The default script (default.bas, 0 bytes) auto-changes CHDK-language (and -codepage?) settings to your camera's language. You see it after switching the camera off and on again.
- Video, mechanic zoom - I saw it working in alpha-omega, but couldn't find settings for it in alpha6
- The language files (english, german) have more entries
- The CHDK-logo shows up for ~ quarter second - too short to read.
- Some scripts stop half way through, e.g. hdr, interval, motion. 1st start after boot = 2 shots, 2nd to 5th start = only 1 shot, 6th start = no shots (every-time I stopped the script after some time and restarted).
- Motion.lua: rectangles color sometimes changes to orange (or red?) (still not reproduced).
What I changed (as test) in MyLang.lng: menu "Visual Settings" -> "Language" in german: "Sprache (äöüß)" (some special german characters, could be made similar with many of the other language files), so when you select a font and codepage, you see at once, if this works with special characters of your language.
Auto-switch language is nice for full working builds, but for testing settings and afterwards writing about that here I need to switch back to english, as I need the english menu wording for the forum.
To reset settings - is it enough to delete the "DATA" folder? Oh - there are gps-graphics and the logo.dat in there.
There is an entry "Script Shoot Delay": better "Script
Start Delay"?
Motion.bas/.lua: parameters cannot be set by menu. I want to set *seconds between shots, *motion intensity (and more). I'm sure, there are scripts on wikia and here, which can do all that and much more, but i think the default motion.bas/.lua could have two or three parameters to be set by the user.
uBasic-Scripts/grid-files: save as utf8? (written in the grid's readme; so they don't work without?)
File-manager, delete folder: doesn't delete, if it contains sub-folders
Palettes of playback and record menus are not the same. Could it be possible to auto-convert the values for the palette display? (so e.g. shining through of the image, equal, if in playback or record mode and showing menu)
Build Info (from the menu, and possibly also in the boot logo) could show the build name (e.g. "alpha-omega", "r5", "alpha6", ...).
Enough for today! Ruedi
