Need help with my SX220 HS!

Hi,

I'm new here and I apologise if my problem has already been answered elsewhere. I've had a good look and had some progress but not a lot.

So I'm trying to install the CHDK on my SX220HS. I can obtain which Firmware version I'm using. So I place the downloaded files in the root folder of my SD card (Its a 8gb sandisk). Start in preview mode. I get the Firmware update prompt so my camera is seeing the file. When I select it I get the ptompt "Update the firmware version 1.0.1.0 -> 1.1.0.0". I ok this and the camera restarts with the CHDK logo.

So my question is, How do I access the functions of the CHDK? The FAQ's and How-to's say I Hold Func./Set + Disp. But nothing happens? I have a few little extra things on my HUD but they seem to vanish when It off and on again?

Any help would be amazing. Am I doing something wrong?

Press the 'Alt' button, which is usually the Print button. That should bring up the CHDK menu.

No, the SX220 uses the combination FUNC.SET + DISP.. The camera has no print button.

You can also press DISP. + FUNC.SET. But you must press the buttons shortly & quickly. Then you see in the display below <ALT>. This is the alternative mode for CHDK. Then you can press MENU and get the CHDK menu.

Thanks @msl.
Got it working now. At first I was only getting a script menu. But with a bit of messing about, I got the main menu up. Just got to solve the problem of keeping the CHDK installed, so I dont have to Update the firmware everytime I want to shoot RAW
