I just installed CHDK on a 4G card with CardTricks, and it appears to boot with CHDK OK, i.e. I get the CHDK start up screen, the ALT works and I can get the CHDK menu. The problem is, when I press the camera "on" button, it comes up in the photo view mode, i.e. the lens does not extend, and taking a photo is not possible.
If I unlock the card, the camera starts normally, i.e. the lens extends and a photo can be taken.

I've seen several post about the camera hanging, but I was not able to locate one that solves this issue, so any help anyone can offer would be greatly appricated. (FYI - the used CardTricks to reformat the card, and I repeated this process twice, so whatever I'm doing wrong, it is repeatable...)
