Builds just fine for me on linux as well:

Code: [Select]
svn co -r 495 http : //tools.assembla.com/svn/chdk/branches/juciphox
cd juciphox
make batch-zip-complete
**** All zipfiles including firmwares and extra stuff created successfully

(hm how does one add non-link urls to posts so that the forum doesn't screw them up?)

normally you just have to put them into the [ url ] tags.
like this: http://gcc.gnu.org/ml/gcc/2005-02/msg00053.html

maybe he is using a more recent gcc? other than that, i have no clue :(

edit: well d'uh, he IS using gcc 4.x, which afaik is not the recommended gcc version for chdk (3.4 in the windows dev pack, afaik in the linux toolchain as well, patched with vitalys patch!?)

Yes, I'm using gcc-3.4.6.tar.bz2 with trunk/tools/patches/gcc-3.4-arm.diff applied.

fe50 - will be added next patch.

ok, so gcc 4 seems to be the problem.

question: Cardtricks *imo* could be included in the autobuild-complete, what do you think?

For Jucifer:

If you can, add the slovak language file to Morebest build - it is there: Language: Slovak 3 - CHDK Wiki

Or describe, how to do it (for doing it by myself in the future). Thanks.

will be added in the next patch. i'm afraid you cant do this yourself. but the lng files arent that time-criticial, as for example only a few entries in the english lang file are added at a time - and those that arent updated in the slovak file will be shown english in the menu, i think this is not a big problem - also it will be updated later.

Apologies for another dumb "what should I use" question:

You guys are doing an amazing job, racing ahead with new features, but in spite of reading through this and other threads I'm left with a question about the status of the builds. I understand that all versions are described as experimental, but do stable, debugged versions appear at intervals before starting to add new features? If so, how do we find them?

Right. Its just safer to say so, to prevent some folks going rant about a bug if they find one..

No. If you are afraid of bugs, use allbests build. Juciphox here is quite a patchwork. ;)

But keep in mind, those bugs cant harm your camera. It could merely get a little annoying when you're trying to use a certain feature and it doesnt work as expected. Use juciphox, report bugs if you find them. Its a community project afterall, and the more people report bugs, the faster they get corrected..

regards
