All videos I shoot with my 540 result in both a video file and a small thumbnail still image.

My eye-fi card is a first generation Share which does not transfer video, just jpegs.

If chdk could help rename the thumbnail as a jpeg, I could transfer it with eye-fi.

At the moment the file reader of chdk does recognize the thumbnail which is not named as a jpeg.

Possibly you can use os.rename() function in lua script. Read this:

Just search this site for rename.

When I use that script I get a not recognized character error.
Maybe I am not iterpreting the directions correctly
