Hi,
Some friends and I are working on sending up a weather balloon with a camera. We are looking to have the camera take photos every few seconds and need this software to do it. We are using a PowerShot A470, and have successfully uploaded the CHDK software onto the SD card. From here I am a little lost on how to get the camera to take pictures every few seconds for a couple of hours. Do I need another Script in addition to what is currently on there or is it already there? If I needed another script how would I go about doing this? I used a 16GB SD card, so I had to create 2 partitions with the separate files on them. Any ideas/help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Jamie

Hi Jamie.

The attached SDM script manages an entire balloon flight from the time you start the camera before putting it in the box to reaching high altitude and then descending.

It has been used on a recent flight.

Study it first.

The attached script is 404 missing again.  Here's a link that might be more permanent : Stratos2.bas

I do have a free DropBox account, guess I had better start using the web-sharing feature.

DropBox is pretty annoying for your users.   Makes them wait for a download.  Box.net is much friendlier.
