Ok, so i have an older ixus70 aka (sd1000) & a720 , both which i have used CHDK for years. Now this christmas i got a sx150is as a gift. I have the newest alpha port, but i mostly use long exposure scripts for astrophotography and infrared photography (with a DIY floppy filter lol). Now i can boot the alpha on my sx150is, but i cant seem to get the long exposures to work. Either with scripts or the Overide Shutter Speed Value within the CHDK menu. I have used both .bas and .lua script with no luck. I was curious if you guys are still working on this? i noticed a few pages back the main Dev working got a dif camera, is there anyone still working on this for us? I use YASS, Ultra Int. set14, sunsetf16, and the CHDK countdown interval meter. is there any scripts that will work? is there any newer CHDK build you have that works that someone can send me? i would really appreciate it. If someone will get this working i offer a $25 ebay gift card as a prize. I have it now and its waiting for you :)... please help.. You will be rewarded with the gift card (i only have one, whoever gets it working for long exposures or gives me a working script or build first will get the card. I love CHDK and you Devs out here working hard... thanks for all your help

I hope you will pardon us if nobody gets too excited about working for what could easily amount to less than a dollar per hour.

Most people who work on a port own the camera and are interested in the challenge.  The sx150 is a fairly new camera - eventually somebody who owns one and has the skills necessary will probably complete the original work. There is just no way to know when that will be.

Yes, i understand its not so enticing for only $25 card, but maybe its better than nothing? If i could just get the long exposures to work i would be so happy :) :) So my offer stands!!! I appreciate all of you Devs hard work, past, present and future. thanks so much, as i have enjoyed the features of the CHDK firmwares for over 2 years... Much love to you all!!! without your hard work and dedication, NONE of this would be possible!!!

Hi ryanjg1982,
Glad you have this camera.  I have been on a vacation for the last couple weeks and now that I am back have too many other things to catch up on to spend much time on CHDK.  I did get to try out the camera on my vacation and it worked well, especially video.  For the price it is a deal.
I am not an experienced developer and have no clue how to fix what you need.  I have fixed some problems in the port but they may not be related to your needs.  It works well enough for my purposes now.  When I get the time I will download the latest build and figure out how to add my changes (if they have not already been added).

Just curious... What features of the Sx150is port are you using?

I wrote stereo viewing software that displays two images side by side.  For that I need the viewport addresses to be correct.  One had an error which philmoz figured out.  See previous posts in this thread.

I just wanted to let you guys keeping track know, or whoever is working on this in their spare time, that i have decided to have my sx150is converted to full spectrum for astrophotography. My buddy converts cameras as a side job, and hes doing it for $50. So its a great deal for me, usually it runs about $100 -200 for a conversion. I just have to pay the cost of the clear glass hes putting in as a replacement for the IR cutoff filter  aka hot filter. So i will be using my sx150is as a IR camera with a DIY floppy filter. I will still eventually want the long exposure setting to be at least 30 seconds, becasue i do alot of time lapse and stacking, also star trails. Usually i will setup a tripod, have an external power supply and let my camera run all night. So thats what i was really hoping to do with it, thus my need for 30+ exposures.  But for the time being i will keep myself busy with the IR and full spectrum aspect of it. I will check at least once a week to see if there are any updates to the alpha... BTW i will also keep the ebay card available( Im a man of my word) so if someone is, does, or did happen to fix it, just send me a message and i will promtly test the build and give your reward. Please be honest about claiming it if you fixed it and someone else claims it i will post here for verification. thanks again to everyone who keeps CHDK going....

I am not the main dev (You are referring to me right) I have not even been able to figure out how to download the source code so and my old sx150is is at best buy right now and I am waiting to get the sx230hs because the pickup date is the 14th (I returned the sx150is and traded it for a sx230 and they were sold out of the sx150)

I have updated the lib.c file for the sx150 1.00A port.  This file wasn't included in my original post (breaking RAW support.

The only remaining mod is to correct the hook_raw_size value.  I couldn't locate the correct subroutine to find the raw and cropped sensor sizes.

Just realized that hook_raw_size is found by the automatic signature finder (stubs_entry.S).  I have updated the lib.c file and it should now be complete.
