I just wanted to let you guys keeping track know, or whoever is working on this in their spare time, that i have decided to have my sx150is converted to full spectrum for astrophotography. My buddy converts cameras as a side job, and hes doing it for $50. So its a great deal for me, usually it runs about $100 -200 for a conversion. I just have to pay the cost of the clear glass hes putting in as a replacement for the IR cutoff filter aka hot filter. So i will be using my sx150is as a IR camera with a DIY floppy filter. I will still eventually want the long exposure setting to be at least 30 seconds, becasue i do alot of time lapse and stacking, also star trails. Usually i will setup a tripod, have an external power supply and let my camera run all night. So thats what i was really hoping to do with it, thus my need for 30+ exposures. But for the time being i will keep myself busy with the IR and full spectrum aspect of it. I will check at least once a week to see if there are any updates to the alpha... BTW i will also keep the ebay card available( Im a man of my word) so if someone is, does, or did happen to fix it, just send me a message and i will promtly test the build and give your reward. Please be honest about claiming it if you fixed it and someone else claims it i will post here for verification. thanks again to everyone who keeps CHDK going....
