Hi Phil

Thank you for the 1.00i test zip.

I can get CHDK to load using firmware update.  badpixel.bin says failed please try again. (3 times)  Histogram shows on screen but shows same pattern for everything I focus on.  Lots of vertical lines all the way to the top, not like a curve.

Thanks for the update, I'll take a look later and post a new version.
If you don't enable RAW can you still shoot JPEG images with CHDK loaded?

I found a few things.
The attached version should fix the histogram.
Not sure about the badpixel.bin creation.

If the badpixel creation still fails try creating an empty badpixel.bin file manually in the CHDK directory on the SD card. Then see if you can shoot DNG files. It's also best to set the option to save the raw/dng files in the same directory as the jpeg files.

Phil, the new file freezes  the camera.  Black screen and no buttons work.  Have to remove battery to turn it off.

Update... Used Cardtricks to install.  Histogram and raw now working.  Auto boot and firmware update both work.  :)

Still wonder why I couldn't just extract the file to the card and use firmware update to load CHDK.  4GB card now formatted as Fat 16.

Make sure you have:

    1. a valid PS.FI2 in the root of the card

    2. started the camera directly into Playback mode (use triangle button, not on/off)

Hi whim,

PS.FI2 is there and I did try to load directly from playback mode.  Funny thing is that I was able to extract Phil's first test of 1.00i directly to the card and load CHDK by firmware update.

Only way I could install his second test of 1.00i was by using Cardtricks.

DOH!  Stupid rookie mistake.   I had both of Phil's tests for 1.00i on my desktop and I kept try to load the first one.  :(

All is working fine now.  16gb card formatted FAT32 works by fimware update and autoload.  Thank you, Phil.  I'm sure some of newbies just make you go  :-[   :haha   :lol

Hi all!
I tried to use CHDK for 1.00f. Now I can use RAW, super fine JPG, etc. THANX!!!
But I don`t see OSD. I set all needed parameters to Enabled, arranged their placement with OSD layout editor, but see only default pictures of camera.
I compared all settings with my S3IS They seem to be identicaly. What`s wrong?
