That just means the firmware is dumped, next step is analysis I think.
It would be great if we could follow development on the chdk for a590 in a single spot but at the moment I can't determine if it's a work in progress anywhere.
However I did notice people are working on dryos which, correct me if Im wrong, could be relevant to this. Either way we'll keep searching the forum with high hopes ;)

Wow, thanks so far.

Looks promising to me, will try to dump my camera's firmware myself tonight (but IIRC it's also 1.0.0E) and to get some tools ready for being able to help, when/if I can.

The dump seems to be ok, loads in IDA (after removing the leading zeros), so now a developer can start porting...
