Hi there, I'm totally newbie in this, I have an A590IS and i love to use the chdk, but sadly there is not a available version to my cam, so i want to use the dump, but i dont how to put on my camera, can some one guide to me step by step how to know mi firmware version and how to put the dump on my camera?

I don't think your request makes sense?
We dumped our firmware so people could start the porting process. They're already working on that now.
If you mean you want to dump your firmware, there are instructions in this thread! (Not sure it's needed though.)

The "dump" is a copy of the official firmware you have in your camera. Dumping it is the process of transferring that firmware to your computer. This dump is used when porting chdk.

There is no working chdk-version for your camera yet.

This is not dead. People are still developing chdk, i guess! so we'll have to wait and try and contribute to the development(if we have enuf expertise :D)

And now ma_jk has posted a port of CHDK for the 1.01B firmware as well as the 1.00e firmware (earlier in the thread). A590IS porting...

So now CHDK is ported to both firmwares for this camera, bugs aside. :D

I'm just waiting for UPS to deliver the camera here, definitely looking forward to testing this.
