I wanted to make my canon ixus 60 to snap 600 x 600 pixels 256 bit color depth photo in jpeg format which has size not more than 250 kb.
How can I achieve this? Should I write a script? Or is there any way around? please help me.
if you are wiling to help me please provide me with a script sample (if in case) too.

You cannot do that processing in the camera.
The best you can do is set 640x480 size and the Canon quality setting to a suitable value.
Any further processing will have to be done on the PC using a photo-editing programme, maybe in batch mode.
