Thanks waterwingz, I tried to read the thread, but there are 19 pages and the information is a bit messy.

I have a current setup with an old Canon camera with CHDK, and chdkptp running, that's not a problem.

One trick - use the Print function at the upper right of the page.  That gives you the whole thread on a single page - very useful for scrolling through quickly or searching.

The A3300 was ported by somebody with no programming background.  The current notes.txt file says that the USB functions have not been tested.   It seems to be fine but it is probably not the most complete CHDK port.

Ported :   A1200    SD940   G10    Powershot N    G16

It seems that my camera (a3300 100d) needs following:
#define CAM_DISABLE_RAW_IN_LOW_LIGHT_MODE

simply captured RAW in low light mode looks more like temporary buffer of some image processing than shot from the scene.

Booted "Powershot A 3300 IS " with CHDK 1.2. There is a maximum time value 2048 seconds but actual shooting time value doesn't shoot above 64 seconds. But its available in "Powershot A470" which is a very old model than A 3300. I am very curious to get this facility to my A3300 too.
Patched version in attachment. In this version capt_seq.c is written using code_gen, please check if still images overrides are working ;)

Patch includes #define CAM_DISABLE_RAW_IN_LOW_LIGHT_MODE as suggested by stoemp.

Can someone with this camera tell me if it outputs AV video in record mode?

Generally speaking, the Canon manual section on TV out will say that it does if it does, and will only talk about playback if it doesn't.

This A3300/A3200/A2200 manual has a section titled "Shooting using a TV as the Display" so it's pretty safe to assume it does.
Don't forget what the H stands for.

I can confirm that my a3200 does have analog video output in shooting mode.

The insert to lib.c from Ix190 https://chdk.setepontos.com/index.php?topic=13146.msg147224#msg147224 plus
Code: [Select]
void *vid_get_viewport_live_fb()
{ return 0;
// return (void*)(*(int*)(0x20D0+0x138)); //FF850CE8 + FF850D38 a3300is
}
in /sub/100?/lib.c results in fine adjusted zebra, md_grid, ptp-liveview.  :)
