Hmmm, I hope someone can get RAW working :)

, but thank you so much for this wonderful port!

I need some help though, I formatted, made bootable, did CHDK -> Card and now I can't seem to start up my camera in lock mode.

Are you sure your firmware of your cam is 100a it is possible its 100d, if so then this wont work for you?

And if it is version 100a, as long as you also copied the diskboot.bin from this forum to the root of the card it should boot just fine.

To check, just delete the diskboot.bin i post on here from your card and copy this ver.q file to card, start in lock mode and press set and disply button and keep pressing till it shows firmware version.

If you have 100d, then it is possible i can find time soon to convert it over for u, although  cant test it, but i can try to convert it and u can test it on your cam.

Firmware Ver: GM1.00D

I would love it if you could take the time to convert it for me :)

Ok, try this, I dont have anything but the boot.c converted just to see if it even boots, cause no reason doing the rest if it wont even start.

Goodluck, let me know.

I could be doing something wrong on my part, here are the exact steps I did:

1. Put SD card into reader
2. Formatted to FAT
3. Make Bootable
4. CHDK->Card
5. Took out card
6. Moved to lock position
7. Put in camera
8. Cant power it on at all (and can't boot unit I move out of the lock)

Here is the SD card I'm using:

Edit: It's not the card, still can't boot, tried it with a 2GB SD card (that is unless I'm doing something wrong above)

try again, use this program just to see if it helps. format in low level using your cam, load this EOS program, click the drop down box, make sure your card is selected. Then press the CHDK logo, then Save button.

That should be all you need to do to prepare card.

Next, extract the zip I last posted, copy the CHDK folder and the file DISKBOOT.BIN to the card, put card in lock mode and try it, make sure you try both the power button and the play button to see if either work.

Nope, damn, thought that might have finally fixed it.

Still can't boot (tried pressing play also)

Off Topic: Do you have an IM account, or something so maybe we could chat?

Hey,

Thank you for all your hard work in creating a workable port. However like the user above me I cannot get my camera to load (it is also a GM1.00D). I am a little lost at trying to do this myself, for some reason or another I am stuck trying to compile it haha.

I have uploaded my DUMP for my camera in hopes that this may help someone port it over to the 1.00D firmware.

Thanks again for all your help!

Hmmm, I am really suprised it wont boot, the versions are not much differ at all, just a few addreses seem to be differ, i will look again see if i missed something.

Maybe ill try a debug light first to see if its even working at some point.

Sorry, I found what I did wrong, sleep can fix alot of bugs, lol.

Try this one, hope this gets it to boot, but remember, I only converted boot.c so far. Lets get it to boot first.

I dont really know where I am suppose to put this, but I would like to share my port with anyone wanting it for this cam.
I created a patch file and submitted this for inclusion in the svn.  Link is here : http://chdk.setepontos.com/index.php?topic=650.msg79808#msg79808.

Note that the code you posted does not actually compile.  I had to change these #defines to #undef

Code: [Select]
#undef CAM_LOAD_CUSTOM_COLORS
#undef CHDK_COLOR_BASE

as you do not have load_chdk_palette() defined in your platform/camera/lib.c file.
