If I am shooting in a RAW format can I view the saved image on the LCD screen?

I am interested in purchasing a SX230HS that does not save in the RAW format.  If I use the CHDK fix for the camera and then shoot in a RAW format, will the images saved to the SD card be visible on the camera's LCD screen?  Or must I wait until I download them into Adobe Lightroom to view them?
Thanks

CHDK will store a CHDK format RAW file or a more standard DNG format file on your camera's SD card depending on the options you select.

Your camera will  store a JPG file of the same image just like it always did.  You will see the JPG on the LCD screen of your camera.  The RAW or DNG file can only be seen once uploaded to your PC.

Thanks - people here tend to be pretty helpful, especially for those who take the time to do some searching first.  The wiki and forum are pretty large and intimidating after six years so its nice to pass on some pointers to the "good stuff".
