It updates every two hours, which should be enough.

Let me know if this is useful or not.

Also, I changed the front page layout: the center recent posts box does not show changesets, and the bottom box shows only those.

We have in German CHDK forum a similar automatic system, but only in one thread with the five newest checkins:

Yeah, I could have loaded it on one topic per cron job, instead of one per changeset, but I think this is way is better if someone wants to discuss as specific change!

Nice new feature... but i had to set "assembla.com changeset timeline" to my "Ignore Board Options" list since i use the "Show unread posts since last visit" link ... those posts bloats my list of unread posts ;)

I think it was only this first time, as it loaded the whole lot at the same time! The next ones should be more spaced...

I saw the flood too and was going to turn it to ignore as well.  But if I understand things correctly,  there will only be a posting if one of the developers updates the svn and a new build version is released ?   So I should see somewhere between zero and three messages a day based on current development activities ?

The script updates the rss feed and downloads only the last entries. So, unless you guys start pushing out new builds like crazy, it should be fine - the posts ought to the seldom, instead of common.

It might save some noise and possible confusion if this only followed the trunk. I'm not sure where you are getting the rss from, but something like http://trac.assembla.com/chdk/log/trunk?format=rss will get you just the trunk

I don't use it myself, since I get email notices from assembla.
