Do you have 'Continuous AF' turned on in the Canon menu?
If so turn it off and try again.

Continuous shooting was on, I've tried in Single Shot mode from the Canon menu and it does just that; a single shot. I've also just tried it with Continuous LV too.

No change.

I'm not talking about continuous shooting mode, I meant the 'Continuous AF' menu option in the first Canon Menu in record mode (fifth item from the top, under 'Servo AF'.

That's cracked it.

Works like a dream now and now I've adjusted the distances it works like a dream with the sort of work I do.

It's really appreciated.
