I'd love to say that i s#it on my pants in a non literally way.

The SX40 kick a$$ with manual video controls. i just could not believe it.

but yes, you guessed. is good, but not that good.

Here's the script that i'm using:

The script loads fine the first time. aperture, shutter, all good.
but then... after the first recording stops, if i press the shutter button to load
the script again, the camera crashes and goes off completely.

This happens with <ALT> enabled or disabled.
i tried changing shooting modes, but nothing happened.
tried to go to "Play mode" and going back to shooting mode. still nothing.

once the script is loaded, there's no way to take a picture afterwards, it just crashes.
Checked the SD, but could not find any LOGs. so i don't know what it could be.

Since you are Scripts experts, i leave this challenge to you guys...

I think this is an amazing camera.

Did you read the warning on this message http://chdk.setepontos.com/index.php?topic=5295.msg64917#msg64917

But it's not stable, meaning you should expect the camera to crash every now and then. During video record, that will probably mean losing the entire recording.

This is a highly experimental script that will probably need to be overhauled for newer cameras.

It's also not necessary to post the same message in multiple threads.

Phil, do you have an sx40 1.00g. is that correct?

i know is not stable.
maybe you can give it a look with your cam?
