I reformatted the SD card, unzipped the firmware for my camera, put it into Play, hit Menu and keep fiddling.  At one point it actually displayed the option for Firm Update but I couldn't stop my motor fingers in time.  I refotmatted and unzipped multiple times.  Still no luck after the past half hour.  Any thoughts?

You have to start the camera in Play mode by pressing the Play button only - not the On/Off button followed by the Play button.
