So it's not an issue of the script's file format or coding, the script is loaded & running.
The message is generated from within the script flow, typical error handling...

Do you by any chance use a script which requires Lua "native call support" ?

Due to security reasons, native call support is disabled by default from CHDK packages served by the autobuild server.
You can build your own CHDK package with native call support (e.g. with CHDK-Shell) or just use a CHDKDE build from http://forum.chdk-treff.de/download.php (with native calls enabled by default).
(delete the file  \CHDK\LANG\german.lng  for english language...)

This is because recent cameras don't have SystemEventInit. System.Create does the equivalent.
