Hi I have the 2011 Elph 500 HS. It is a touchscreen only model. How can I make it boot into the firmware update system?

Also, I read that 2011 models can boot from Fat32 cards. Is there a special procedure? How do I make a Fat32 card bootable?

I figured it out. You hold the left zoom down while booting into image view mode.

That adds a firmware update option to the menu system.

I was able to auto boot off a 6GB card as well -- the 2011 cameras apparently boot off FAT32 formatted cards!
