If you are going to rewrite params loading you could also change one-character variables names. Of course if it is no too much work.
if (2*b || !2*b) {
    cout<<question
}

Compile error: poor Yorick

BTW: In my opinion "default script" (built-in and A/default.bas) is not useful and obsolete. Just "no script loaded" message should be enough. And this will simplify loading process even more. Any other opinion?

In CHDK-DE we use the "default script" as a language switch. Default language is German. A first shutter click in alt mode changes the language when the script recognizes another Canon OSD language as the default CHDK language, at the moment only für English and Russian.

See here: http://trac.assembla.com/chdkde/browser/trunk/core/script.c

I think, this is a usefull function for the "default script".
