DSLRs RAW Video?

Really like the advantage of using RAW for still photos with CHDK on Canon P&Ss so when move on to video would also like to also use RAW.

Checked this forum but did not find any mention of RAW videos with any of the Canon DSLRs so am guessing it is not possible at this time.

Is this correct?

Hope someone may have tried RAW videos even if resulted in lower frame rates.

As you guessed, it's not possible.

The nearest you can get to 'RAW' video is RED, but you need a RED camera for that which costs much more than a DSLR :-)

While I save my money for a RED could you please tell me where the problem is that makes it not possible for the 5D MKII to do RAW video (at lower resolution).

Is it the sensor, CPU, buffer...?

Am wondering how long it will take until becomes possible.
