Hello All,

I read a little about the CHDK and I think I may have followed the instructions incorrectly and bricked my brand new S95  :'(

Here is what I did:
Extracted this build to an SD card using a card reader.
s95-100e-1.0.0-1504-full_BETA.zip

Booted the camera with the card in it.

Gone into Play mode

Selected update firmware

Agreed to upgrade from 1.0.0.0 to 1.1.0.0 (Not exactly sure of the numbers)

Camera went dead and now wont restart.

Is there any way back?

I have totally broken it?!

Help would be much appreciated. I bought this for my birthday part tomorrow and will be very sad not to have photos.

Warm regards,
Fiasco

Sorry! Panic over! I plugged my camera into the computer on USB and powered it on, that seemed to get it.

Wow, I was in a fizz there!

Generally, the way to recover this is to pull the battery out.

Often (but not always), when the camera is in this state it will shut down eventually by itself, so just waiting will also do it.

If you want to continue experimenting with CHDK, I suggesting finding the canon firmware version of your camera first.
Don't forget what the H stands for.
