Can anyone read this firmware file?

With all of this powershot hacking going on, It got me thinking...I have a panasonic hpx500 broadcast HD memorycard camera and I found a firmware file for it. The problem is I know nothing about opening a file like this. Please excuse my lack of understanding.

Here is the file: https://eww.pavc.panasonic.co.jp/pro-av/support/cs/csregistp2m/soft/vsi4726d.zip

What do I need to view and modify the file? is it even possible?

Thanks,

Hunter

I converted it into a .png image (18MB so I'm not showing it), it looks like it's still encrypted. There are a few mildly distinguishable patterns in there, though, so it might indicate some sort of weak encryption. Still nothing useful in finding out how to decrypt it. It's definitely not code. There aren't any readable strings in there, either. I guess it's not easily possible, at least not without the camera.

Hm, I think my method spots patterns which aren't obvious to you and your method finds ones that aren't obvious to me :) I have this:
