Powershot sx150 IS question

Hi guys! its very important to get this thing up and running so I decided to come to the Forums. I downloaded CHDK onto my 4 gig memory card. After I turn it on it will show the CHDK logo and return to the regular screen, opening the menu and rolling down to firm update. after clicking on it text will show up saying UPDATE FILE ERROR!!! I have tried formatting the memory card and installing CHDK again and the same message shows up. Please help, thank you.

If you are getting the CHDK logo on boot,  you must have the SD card lock in the lock position and the card formatted as bootable ?

If so,  then you don't need to also go to the firmware update menu item.  CHDK is already loaded - you don't need to do it again.

If it is already loaded onto my camera then how to i access the CHDK main menu?

The CHDK logo will show and all the things at the top associated with it but how do i use the alt menu, all i get is the clock showing.

Press the Set and the Disp buttons at the same time.

You don't need a script, see raw options in http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/CHDK_User_Manual

edit:
but raw is reportedly broken on this camera, see http://chdk.setepontos.com/index.php?topic=6953.120

Im having trouble removing a script once Ive selected it. so raw will never work with this camera?

There is really no need to deselect a script. If you really want to go back to the default one, you can select default.bas in the menu.

It should be fixable, this is an alpha port, it's not finished.
