Last test - Manual Video exposure on SX130ISwith the script -
http://chdk.setepontos.com/index.php?topic=5295.msg68622#msg68622I've made quick test.
Hmm, maybe this work. With some notes:
- When script start (but not in Record state) Cam do not like very bright and very dark
scenes on the LCD screen ..may crash and not alow you to make changes.
To avoid this, point the cam to scene with little bit less brightness, start the script
and do the changes (Tv,Av,SV).Good idea is to be near normal values if scenes you will record are bright and vice-versa.
-Cam do not like Sv=0.Do not go down to zero.Cam can crash. This can be changed in the script to start with Sv=128.
For SX130IS settigns on my side were:
-Tv from 480 - 704 (1/30s - 1/160s). I stop here.No crash.
-Av from 347(F=3.4) to 576(f=8.0)...till 672 (maybe F=16).Higher values do not made change of the brightness.
-Sv from 128 to 896.What ISO is related with this figures I do't know.If you try to go to 1024 cam stop recording saved the clip on SD card and script is interrupted.Maybe this is not a crash ?? You may continue.
Sv=1024 is acceptable only in lowlight conditions when script start (no record mode) and you made changes.
Generally I think Canon FW watch and do not allow some combinations in video mode even they are in the cam limits.
Use the script with caution. And modify it to your cam.I hope that some
GURU Developers will try to fix it.
Thanks for help.

BTW - during the tests my cam reported
Error E09 -
JPEGtimeout.Cam still work FINE.
