Canon SD1000 1.01b "Update File Error"

I downloaded the 1.01b build and followed the Mac FAQ on how to put the files on the SD card. After selecting the Firm Update in the menu of the camera, I get an "Update File Error." Any idea what I could be doing wrong?

Which Camera so you have? It seems that you don't have an ixus70_sd1000

SD1000 - CHDK Wiki

create an empty file named ver.req in the root dir of your card then pressed FUNCSET and DISP simultaneously.

you can then see your P-ID and your Firmware version. The P-ID has to be 314F
