is it in principle possible to print out the shutter speed and aperture used
on cameras which lack this feature (like the simpler powershots and the
older ixuses)? - best would be to only print it when required (so above 1/60th
of a second exposure on some cameras where it will only be shown below
that time) and at the same location as it is shown at < 1/60th sec
