g12 and stop motion

is there a way to make some software recognise G12 ?
when i plug usb cable it goes in play mode and i can't use it for stopmotion software.
i never tried chdk, i'm new.. do you think the last version can help me ?

i found that canon g12 lost  "The Remote Shooting feature" that  ended with the G10 _
we can't control it with software by PC...
any solution ?

As it says, the Canon SDK (software development kit) no longer supports Powershots.

If you mean can you do something similar with CHDK, the answer is yes.

You use something called PTP.

However, it does not run 'out-of-the-box', CHDK developers (especially G12 owners) can give you more information.

I have some software that will probably do what you want, if you get stuck contact me.

Seems to be a python script designed for remote control of a camera via Lua and ptp.  The code is very specific to a particular camera model.   Where did you find it ?  And is it that you want to do exactly ?

i found it searching on google.
i want to shoot photo from my camera directly to my Pc, for make a frame by frame animation_
i don't know this code could solve my trouble but if you say me how can i use it i try .

I do not think you want to get involved with nasty stuff like that unless you are already familiar with Python  :-
