Multiple DSLR Array (84 x EOS 2000D's) for Photogrammetry

I built a Photogrammetry Array using 84 x EOS 2000D DSLR's (Rebel T7).

I attached some pictures of the Rig and a preview of the 3D Model / Scan.

I'm using custom hardware for the trigging system through the 2.5mm remote shutter port, but there seems to be small variations in the shutter release (up to 100ms) and this is causing minor sync issues while using strobe / flash softboxes.

I'm considering switching to CHDK over USB for shutter triggering, then with small hardware mods to the master USB Hub(s) download the photos over the same USB cables.

I'm ready to start development, but it does not seem like the EOS 2000D is ready / ported for CHDK...?

Can anyone point me in the right direction to make a start?

There will be no CHDK for the 2000D. I would ask in the ML forum.

But why didn't you choose a mirrorless camera like the M10 for this project?
M100 100a, M3 121a, G9x II (1.00c), 2*G1x (101a,100e), S110 (103a), SX50 (100c), SX230 (101a), S45,
