Version 1699 Broken on 300HS

version 1699 >ixus220_elph300hs-101d-1.0.0-1699-full_ALPHA<
is not working properly on the 300HS................
the Exposure is ALL messed up...
and when you try to compensate for it the camera just shuts down.
the Exposure by default is way to long on this version....

went back to 1659 and all is fine.

You need to provide a little more information on what is "all messed up" and how you are trying to compensate for it.

CHDK doesn't override any exposure settings by default.

im not shure just what you need here.................

i load it and i shoot with defaults the Exposure is Way to long.
and if i go into the menu and change the Exposure value from 2048 the camera crashes 98% of the time.

so i reload version 1659 and all is fine with the defaults and @ 2048.
And can  change the Exposure value from 2048 wothout a problem.


I dont know what CHDK Can or Can not change
all i know after 4 hours of messen around Thats what it was doing with Version1699.

i HAVE used ALL the versions with NO Problem ..

All work Flawlessly   (other than settings dont get saved sometimes)

I just Reloaded 1699 and now it looks to be fine  :blink:
and i did this like 5 times last nite hmmmmm   WEARD  :blink:

If you want help, then you need to explain
1) what CHDK and Canon firmware settings you used
2) how the result differed from the result you expected.

Which menu, which value ? If you are actually overriding the shutter speed to 2048 seconds, that will look a lot like a crash, or maybe actually crash...

What do you mean "defaults at 2048"... either it's default settings, or you have overridden something.

I suggest you take a look through http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/CHDK_User_Manual#Extra_Photo_Operations and make sure you understand how the overrides are supposed to work.

defaults are Defaults
no over rides , no setting changes CHDK Default

and a Crash is when the camera
tells you there was an error and then shuts down.


Enter <alt> mode
press menu button
slect extra photo operations
down to the third option = Override shutter the DEFAULT = 2048.
Next is Value Factor = off That Is the CHDK Default.

and WORKS good and has from the moment i took the camera out of
 the box

Just what Defaults are...
defaults are NO changes made at all to the Camera factory settings or CHDK setings.



as i have said it looks to be working Now after reloading version 1699 for the 6th time.

BUT
I am geting a Bad pixle bin failed
trying to cerate a bad pixle bin.
