SX 230: ALT not working

Hi!

I installed CHDK on my sx230 HC camera with firmware version 1.01c

It worked for a while, but at some point the combination  DISP +FUNC SET ceased to access the ALT menu. I have tried reformatting the SD card and reinstalling several times, but I've had no success.

This means, by the way, that I no longer have a bootable SD card.

Any hints?

Do you see the CHDK logo when the camera starts up ?

Why do you think that ?  And if so,  why not make it bootable again ?

Thanks for your answer,

I found another thread on this subject. Apparently the problem is mechanical. I just tried pressing DISP and FUNC together several times until I finally succeeded in changing to ALT mode. I've changed the ALT binding to the Video button.

Having regained access to the CHDK menu I was able to make the SD card bootable again.

I'm getting ready to process my first RAW file  :)
