Seems to be in alpha stage (it's probably unstable yet). Read more on porting thread:

You could look on the autobuild server where people normally go to download CHDK :

Sometimes while I'm looking for the answer I forget the simplest one... ;)

I got it (CHDK for SX150IS). Installed it. It works, but you have to be experimental (like try the flippin Konami code) to get into the ALT menu because there is no "Shortcut" button, like on the SX130. I had to do some random multi-button pushes that are not documented correctly in the README.

Also, I know CHDK is not supposed to be permanent, but is there any chance it can mess up the existing firmware? I might be tripping, but the display looks alot more noisy now, and super vivid colors are all strange and washed out, even with CHDK deleted off my card. I hope I didn't just wreck some system internals, if that's a possible risk with "APLHA". ???

Is anyone else testing? I hope this is the right thread to have this exchange.

This is fairly well documented on the SX150 porting thread :

But then you would have to know that the best way to way to get the latest information for any camera is to look for the thread labelled "porting thread" for that camera.

Notice that you can change the <ALT> button, per the link I posted.

Its always a possibility when messing with something the orginal manufacturer did not design to be messed with.  But with many thousands of CHDK users,  it seems unlikely.  Having said that,  here's the standard warning :

The porting thread is probably a better place.
