It's good that the camera zooms in on MF point but it only zooms in a bit (like 2x). to (easily) ensure that the subject is dead sharp at pixel level more zoom would be needed (at least 2x more). in preview mode you're basically zooming in on the pic like 10x till you reach pixel level. 10x probably isn't needed because there is a limited number of focus steps but let's say 4x would be needed

Yes, right. Exactly my experience.

But I think it's not that easy to implement...
