Help please: New compile of CHDK with native calls enabled

Hi, I am trying to create a new compile of CHDK with native calls enabled for the Canon Elph 300 HS (http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/ELPH300) so that I can run a .lua script on my camera. Can someone please point me in the right direction? I have been following this article (http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/Compiling_CHDK_under_Windows) and have the gcc ready to run. I just don't understand where I get the firmware from and how I get it to compile for the elph 300 HS.

Can someone please help??

Thanks in advance...

Use CHDK shell.

This program does all for you incl. download of the recent source code. In 'compile option' you can also activate 'native calls'.

But you should know what you do! The use of 'native calls' can be dangerous. For a simple lua script you don't need 'native calls'.

Thanks for the help. I am trying to run this script: http://chdk.setepontos.com/index.php?topic=6113.0

I have updated the addresses in the script for my camera for AE lock and unlock found here:  http://trac.assembla.com/chdkde/changeset/880

Should I not try this? Is this very dangerous for the camera? I was just using the same lua script as in the link above with replaced addresses. I am hoping to disable Auto Exposure for video if possible.

Thanks again!
