DaVinci Resolve Lite?

There are times when would like to vary the colors of my CHDK RAW photos.

Not talking about photo realistic colors from CHDK RAW, think the existing work arounds do a good job.

Instead I am talking about "Artistic Colors"

A friend who uses RED recommended DaVinci Resolve Lite.

Hope someone may use it since it is available for Linux, Mac and Windows, and have some tips for a beginner.

I've took a Look on the Site and start downloading DaVinci Resolve Lite.
During download, I've took a Look on Instruction Manual. The System requirements about the Computer are terrible... not for poor Man P&S Cam Owner...  ;), and download was canceled.

Forgot to mention that I only want to use DaVinci Resolve Lite with a single RAW photo (1 video frame) and as result hope I can use older PC hardware that would not work for video.

Hope someone will decide to give it a try!

Thanks

Hi Pier,

Did some searching and found another having install problems.  "I'm having problems installing the software on my system. I'm on a iMAC mid 2011 with i7 and 16 GB ram, ATI RADEON HD 6970 2GB ram and OWC 2X2TB RAID0 external enclosure. At the end of the installation process i get a screen that i need to contact the product manufacture for support. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/61480401/2012-04-20_00-46-55.png

Tried both lite versions, the 8.2 and the 8.2.1 beta and i got the same error for both. I tried sending blackmagic design a support ticket and apearently they're still working to fix the support page..."

From looking at the hardware seems even new hardware is having this problem.
