Current development-version of SDM has special, moveable vertical guidelines to make this very easy.

Possibly using a filter adapter tube and a close-up filter: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Close-up_filter

ummmm No.............

made with a paper towel roll cut to 3 inch long and a eye pice from a 6-24x50 Rifle Scope.
and as far as i Know there is NO Macro or Telephoto lenses out that will fit the PowerShot 300HS.
