Hope this isn't too off topic for the thread... (also @pelrun, excited to hear that you're making so much progress with the eye-fi code in CHDK... sorry I dropped the ball emailing berend. Just sent him an email re you and eye-fi/CHDK code)
Re Dan-Tron's situation, I PM'd him, but I am also attaching a working timelapse script I am using with an Eye-fi card to do CHDK-side endless memory. The down-side is that it can't see what pics are deleted, so if they aren't already uploaded, then you get disaster. You can mitigate it by specifying how many pics to delete at once and how much free space to delete at.
The script is attached with the settings I am running it on. IT WILL DELETE IMAGES if you run it indefinitely - once your card gets to 512 MB of free space or less, this script deletes 144 images next time it runs.
Basically I took Fraser McCrossan's timelapse with power-saving and accurate intervalometer (or something like that) and added a zoom setting (implemented as percent zoom to work across camera models), a focus-to-hyperfocal distance feature (because infinity was broken on the SX30 when I was working on it), and the delete feature, which has a "free space" variable and a "number of pics to delete" variable.
(ps I have a hard time sometimes finding my way around these forums - if I could/should post this somewhere else so others can find it more easily, just tell me where..)
